Delete Your Account

You can delete your Anota account yourself at any time. Deletion is permanent and immediate — it is not a deactivation, and the data cannot be recovered afterwards.

• To delete your account: sign in at anota.in, open Account from the navigation, scroll to Delete Account, and confirm. The same account is used by the Anota Android app, so deleting it there removes it everywhere.
• What deletion removes: your profile and sign-in credentials, every PDF you have uploaded, all highlights and annotations, all notes and note cards, your canvases, reading progress and reading history, streaks and achievements, and your plan settings.
• Local copies held on a device are removed when you sign out of the Anota Android app or uninstall it.
• What may be retained: records of past payments, where a payment provider or applicable tax and accounting law requires us to keep them. These are billing records only and are not used to rebuild your library.
• If you cannot sign in — for example you have lost access to the email on the account — email support@anota.in from the address associated with the account, or with enough detail to identify it, and ask for deletion. We will verify ownership before acting.
