Privacy Policy

We collect only the information needed to operate Anota, support your account, improve the product, and meet billing or legal obligations.

• This policy covers Anota on the web at anota.in and the Anota Android app. Both sign in to the same account and work with the same data.
• Account information may include your name, email address, authentication details, plan, and product settings.
• Product data may include documents, annotations, notes, reading progress, and activity metadata needed to provide the reading experience.
• Documents you upload are stored so your library is available on every device you sign in from. The Android app also keeps a copy of a document on your device so you can read it without a connection. That local copy is removed when you delete the document or sign out of the app.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. The Anota Android app contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs, and it does not collect device identifiers or an advertising ID.
• Data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS between your device and our servers.
• You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time — see the Delete Your Account page for the steps and for what deletion removes.
• Billing data is handled through payment providers. For billing questions, contact billing@anota.in.
• Support conversations may be stored so we can resolve issues and improve help quality. You can contact support@anota.in for privacy requests.
