What happens to my PDFs if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted. Your library stays intact and readable — you simply can't add new PDFs beyond the free limit until you're back under it or upgrade again.
Do my notes leave with me?
Anota is local-first: your highlights and note cards live on your device, not locked in our database. Student and Pro add one-click export to PDF and Markdown.
Can I switch plans later?
Any time, from the billing section of your account page. Cancelling leaves you on the free plan with your library intact rather than locking you out.
Is there a student discount?
The Student plan is the discount — it's priced for people buying it themselves, and there's no institutional email required.
